Richard Brooks was born in East Africa.
His parents hailed from the north of England and he had a Scottish
grandmother. He studied theology at Cambridge University and trained for the
Christian ministry at Bristol. Since his ordination in 1973 he has served
the church well both as an able preacher and a very helpful and clear
author. His longest pastorate to date was at York Evangelical Church where
he ministered for almost twenty years. After leaving York in 2002 he served
in Stanton Lees Chapel on the edge of the Peak District and now ministers in
Matlock. |
