Since
there was nothing we could do for ourselves to repair the damage sin has
caused God put into effect His plan of salvation. This plan, devised in
its totality from before the foundation of the world, brought His sinless
and perfect Son, - the Lord Jesus Christ, - to die on the cross of Calvary to pay the penalty for
the sins of all who would believe in Him. The Bible says...
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
"While
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Jesus said, "I am
the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved". John 10:9
"Christ also hath
once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to
God". 1 Peter 3:18
